- Trials for 2026 SCNA Junior RepresentativesSouth Canberra Netball Association are excited to announce trials for the upcoming 2026 Junior Representative season. Who can trial? Experienced netball players born in the following years: Under 11s born 2015 and 2016 - girls and boys Under 12s born 2014 - girls and boys Under 13s born 2013 - girls only Under 14s born 2012 - girls only Under 15s born 2011 - girls only Details of trial dates are as follows Sunday 9th November 2025 U11 from 9-11am U12 from 10.30am-12.30pm U13 from 1pm-3pm U14 and U15 from 2-4pm Sunday 16th November 2025 U11 from 9-11am U12 from 10.30am-12.30pm U13 from 1pm-3pm U14 and U15 from 2-4pm There may be an additional trial on Thursday 20 November for selected athletes if required. Players will be notified before or the evening of 17 November if required. Venue – South Canberra Netball Association, Makin Place Deakin Registrations for SCNA rep trials will close on Thursday 6 November 2025. No late registrations will be accepted. We would appreciate prospective players attending both the first trials to ensure selectors have the best possible ability to see athletes. - Junior Rep CoachesEvery year SCNA runs a Junior Netball Representative Program from U11-15 years. Our Program is well-organised and community supported. We are focused giving our players the opportunity to train, develop and compete in a variety of local and interstate carnivals during the season. We are seeking energetic and experienced netball coaches to support our Program for 2026. Individuals who are excited about netball and committed to working with our junior teams to help them develop and compete are invited to submit an EOI. Training is generally held once a week (Monday or Thursday) from early February until the ACT Junior Champs in June/July (dates to be confirmed). Our Program is well-organised, supported and focused on giving our players the opportunity to train, develop and compete in a crucial part of the Netball ACT Pathway. We are looking for Coaches and Selectors for our 2026 season. Selectors would be required to commit to attending trials. - Woolworths NetSetGo Net registrations now openWe are excited to be running our Twilight competition. We are back at our courts in Deakin. Best access to our courts is from the King St carpark. We will be running the Net program on Mondays from 5:30- 6.15pm on Court 5. Twilight comp will run for 9 weeks from the 13th of October to the 8th of December at the SCNA courts. - SCNA Netball Skills Development ProgramSouth Canberra Netball Association are offering a 3-week program aimed at players looking to extend their netball skills. It will particularly cater for players who are interested in playing or are already playing in the Junior Representative teams for South Canberra. Players will need to be proficient in the basic skills of netball. Where: South Canberra Netball Courts, Makin St Deakin When: 16 Oct, 23 Oct, 30 Oct. Time: Thursday 5:30pm -7pm Cost: $75 per player Goals: This program aims to improve the speed, fitness and agility of all participants and to extend specific netball skills. - Twilight Registrations Now OpenWe are excited to be running our Twilight competition. We are back at our courts in Deakin. Best access to our courts is from the King St carpark. We will return to running the competitions on 3 evenings. We are also introducing a Mixed Inters/cadets division for school aged mixed teams. Twilight comp will run for 9 weeks from the 13th of October to the 10th of December at the SCNA courts. We are looking to run across three nights with NSG on Mondays, Women on Tuesdays, and Mixed on Wednesdays. Indicative times are below but are subject to final demand: Monday 13th October - Monday 8th December 2025 5:30 - Net, 1 Set division and 1 Go division 6:20 - 1 Set division and 1 Go division Tuesday 14th October - Tuesday 9th December 2025 5:30 - Juniors 6:20 - Inters 7:10 - Cadets 8:00 - Seniors Wednesday 15th October - Wednesday 10th December 2025 6:00 - Mixed Inters and/or Cadets 6:50 - Mixed Opens 7:40 - Mixed Opens Umpiring As was the case last year SCNA will provide umpires for the mixed competition at an additional cost of $25 per person in order to ensure umpiring is of a sufficient quality. All other teams will need to provide their own umpire. This year we are looking to provide additional umpiring support and mentorship by having our pink vested umpire mentors around each evening. · Team Nominations and Player Registrations Open:17 September 2025 · Team Nominations Close 3rd October 2025 · Player Registrations are due by 19th October · Team must provide their own umpires (except in mixed – provided by SCNA) · At least 7 players must be registered in each team before the start of round 2 or risk forfeiting future games Our clubs will be running teams in the competition. - Under 14s Fantastic NSW State Titles experienceDay 1 Our SCNA u14s got off to a cracking start at the NSW Junior State Titles at Baulkham Hills today with a clean sweep winning all 6 matches. Things will be hotting up tomorrow on Day 2 as they take on 7 more teams from NSW! Day 2 Our u14s fought some tough battles at NSW Junior State Titles on Day 2 of competition as things heated up in Baulkham Hills. An early loss to an in form Bathurst squad and a narrow one point loss to Orange fired up the team to finish out the day with 5 wins from 7 games leaving them second place on the ladder. Day 3 Saw our u14s shine with some great performances across six matches to round out the last day of the tournament. Today saw four wins and two narrow losses (including a one point loss to the eventual competition winners Hawkesbury) and a 4th place finish overall. A fantastic team effort from a fantastic group of girls, coaches and supporters! Thanks to SCNA for supporting this great development opportunity! Now for a well deserved rest! 
- More success at ACT Junior ChampionshipsMore success for our SCNA Junior Rep teams at the ACT Championships. All our under 11s and 12s teams made the grand finals. 11s and 12s Blue were runners up in the Div 1 divisions and 11s and 12s Gold were both champions in the Div 2 divisions, with 11s gold winning their final by a nail-biting single goal. Congratulations to all our teams and to all the coaches, managers, parents and other helpers who made this season such a success. We couldn't do it without all your support! 
- Successful 1st week at ACT ChampionshipsCongratulations to our Junior Rep 13s, 14s and 15s teams, who had a great weekend at Championships. All 6 of our teams made the semi-finals in their division. Our 15s div 1, 15s div 2, and 13s div 1 all finished the day as runner's up and our 14s div 1 were ACT Champions! Well done girls! This weekend it is the turn for our 11s and 12s. #goSouths 
- U17 success at NSW ChampionshipsOur mighty Under17 Shadow Squad had an amazing time at the NSW Senior State Titles. They won 16 out of the 17 games they played and displayed great skill and spirit. Netball NSW we really appreciate the opportunity to compete at this wonderful event. Thank you to all players, parents and supporters for a big season. This tournament was a huge highlight. Thank you for all your efforts #gosouths
