2027 Junior Rep Program trials

South Canberra Netball Association (SCNA) are excited to announce trials for the upcoming 2027 Junior Representative season. SCNA's Junior Rep season normally involves training once to twice a week from February through to end of June with 5/6 all day carnivals throughout the season both in Canberra and away.

To be eligible for an age group, players must turn the outlined age by 31 December in the year of play.  Players must be registered with a club or school team at SCNA for the winter competition in 2026 and 2027.  Players who are new to SCNA must register and play with a club or school team at SCNA for the 2027 winter competition unless an exemption is requested and approved.

In 2027, SCNA is seeking to put together two male only teams (U14s and u17s) with the aim to take these teams to 2-3 carnivals (depending on proximity and availability) during the season and also NSW Junior or Senior State Titles.  These teams will have dedicated coaches and will undertake weekly training on Thursday nights.  Male players in these teams do not need to play Saturday netball at SCNA.

Who can trial? 

Experienced netball players born in the following years: 

Under 11s born 2016 and 2017 - mixed (girls and boys)

Under 12s born 2015 - mixed (girls and boys)

Under 13s born 2014 - female only

Under 14s born 2013 - female only

Under 15s born 2012 - female only 

Under 14s born 2013 and 2014 – male only

Under 17 born 2010, 2011 and 2012 – male only

Details of trial dates are as follows:

Sunday 8 November 2026 

U11 mixed from 9-11am

U12 mixed from 10.30am-12.30pm

U13 female and U14 male from 1pm-3pm

U14/U15 female and U17 male from 2.30-4.30pm

Thursday 12 November 2026 

U11 & U12 mixed from 5-7pm

U13, U14, U15 female and U14, U17 male from 6.30-8.30pm

There may be an additional trial on Sunday 15 November 2026 for selected athletes, if required. Players will be notified by email by the evening of Friday 13 November if they are required to attend.

All players trialing are expected to attend both scheduled trial sessions to allow selectors to assess each athlete.
